Cleaning doesn’t have to be stressful: here’s how
For even those who enjoy cleaning it can become stressful on occasion when you have a lot going on. Believe it or not you can easily reduce the weight it may put on your shoulders.
A lot of us may tend to wait until the last minute to clean and because of this it may result in one large, and stressful, list of chores needed to be done! Spreading out your chores is a great way to elevate stress. To me, thirty minutes of cleaning is better than five hours! Schedule certain for certain tasks and break up long tasks into portions throughout the week.
It’s also helpful to motivate yourself by thinking of the end result. Remind yourself how relaxed and accomplished you’ll feel when you finish and not to mention how beautiful your home will look! Work hard and it’ll be oh-so rewarding.
To help speed up time you can keep yourself busy and distracted. Turn on the TV, listen to music or an audio book. It helps keep your mind off what you’re doing and helps the time go by in a flash!
Lastly, you’re not a superhero! It’s okay to not get everything done. Do what you can handle and never overwhelm yourself – and don’t be afraid to ask for some help around the house.
